The Beginning… Originally a craftsman for the railroad, Ralph Robinson first opened a cabinet shop in 1890 above a recently acquired livery stable. He quickly developed a niche in making caskets and soon coupled this by renting the horse drawn hearse and carriages from his stable. By 1892 Robinson was officially in business with his own funeral service company.
