My friendship with Vera has meant the world to me. My sympathy goes to her family. I remember fondly the daily phone calls and the shared experiences as our children grew up. She will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Even though we didn't visit often during these last years, my mother, Normia Stevenson Davis, from Fordyce loved her very much. Mother has been gone since 1988. Vera and Arthur were a great couple.

I am the daughter of Fred G. Stevenson who was Vera Ferris' first cousin. Daddy was the son of Jenny Smith Stevenson, who was a sister of Henderson Smith. I met Vera a few times at Stevenson family reunions, and I talked to her by phone in the summer of 2007 inviting her to meet with the Stevenson family who were having another reunion. She was not able to join us, but we thought about her that day. Our thoughts are with you in this time of loss.
