Thressa Richardson Sauerbrunn, 96, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1913 in Shreveport, Louisiana to John Cliff Richardson and Annie Lehnert Richardson. Mrs. Sauerbrunn was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She was a homemaker and later worked as a beautician in her home. Mrs. Sauerbrunn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.C. Sauerbrunn; daughter, Sylvia Hagood; and sister, Mildred Hankins. Survivors include two daughters, Diane S. Magee of Plano, Texas and Joan Carol Phelps of Leawood, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Beau Braden, Casey Tiernan, Jonathan Magee, Joel Hubanks, John Hubanks, Robert Hagood and Doug Hagood; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father L. Warren Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Annex Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. A Vigil service will be 5:30 p.m., Thursday evening at Robinson's.
