 Ray Price, 77, of Pine Bluff died at his home Thursday, October 29, 2009. He was born in Garland City, Arkansas on October 7, 1932, a son of the late Tony Washington Price and his late mother and step-father, Mildred Sanders Price Jones and Sam Jones. He attended school in Garland City and in Greenville, Mississippi. After high school he served in the United States Army. Mr. Price joined International Paper Company in 1957 and retired from IP in 1997. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Herbine Hunting Club. For many years he was an active volunteer for the Special Olympics. He delighted in his grandchildren and their accomplishments. A regular early morning coffee drinker at Hardee's on 28th, he enjoyed the fellowship and conversation found in that group. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. His survivors include his wife, Carol Impson Price, who he married November 28, 1957 in Huttig, Arkansas; two sons, the Reverend Jeff Price (Julie) of Little Rock and Mark Price (Lisa) of Pine Bluff; one brother, Jimmie Price of Alexander, Arkansas; and five grandchildren, Tanner Price, Katherine Price, Allison Price, Gretchen Price, and Becca Price. Services are Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Jim Freeman officiating, with a reception in McColgan Hall following. Private committal services will be in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son. Visitation is Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Robinson's.
