John Paul Lane, age 62, of Baton Rouge, LA, died at UAMS in Little Rock, Thursday, November 5, 2009. "JP" was born August 23, 1947, the son of John and Maxine Edwards Lane. He was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. He was a graduate of PBHS (1965) and served in Vietnam before attending the University of Oklahoma where he received a degree in anthropology. He was a retired postal worker. Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Agnes Edwards; his father, John Lane; and his brother, Peter Lane. He is survived by his mother, Maxine Lane of Pine Bluff; brother, the Rev. Joseph Lane of Belmont, California; sister, Melissa Lane, of Austin, Texas; nephew, Stephen Lane of Hot Springs; and constant companion, golden retriever, Jolie. A memorial service will be held in Baton Rouge at a later date. |
