Pete was a few years older but had very good influnce on me through my Sunday School class at First Baptist. He would take us on field trips and set a good example as how we should conduct ourself in a Christian manner. Wish had kept in contact with him more.

Pete was a great American. He was a dedicated public servant. As Circuit Clerk he was professional, friendly, and of the utmost integrity. He fought in WWII and fought the political battles for fair and open government. We need more Pete Longs.
