Maxine T. Shultz died March 5, 2010 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born May 3, 1923 to James McClain and Pearl Johnson Toney. She lived her adult life in Pine Bluff and Little Rock before retiring to Hot Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis "Buddy" Shultz, Jr., in 1987. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Lanny Gorman of Hot Springs and Diane and Don Graves of Pine Bluff; four grandsons, Donny Graves of Pine Bluff, Lane Gorman of Little Rock, Greg Gorman and Russell Gorman of Hot Springs; a brother and sister-in-law, Adolph and Lillian Toney of Bismarck; a sister, Jacqueline Toney of El Dorado; a sister-in-law, Iva S. Jones of Texarkana; five great-grandchildren and three nieces. The family expresses appreciation to Lara Thompson and the care givers at Primary Home Care. Also gratitude to Arkansas Hospice Inpatient at St. Joseph's Hospital including Judy Seals and Shaneka Collins.
